Annual
TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. All
games will consist of three (3) x twelve (12) minute
stop time
periods.
2. The
ice will be resurfaced every two (2) periods of play.
3. The home
team is the second team listed on the schedule (as
noted). The home team will wear their light (white)
jerseys
(if possible).
4. The
final (Championship) games will consist of three (3) x
twelve (12)
minute stop time periods.
5. There
will be no overtime for round robin games which are tied at the end of regulation time.
6. When
a player is assessed his fourth (4) penalty, he shall be
ejected from the
game immediately by the referee. A
player
who is on the ice
at the time of the infraction must serve the ejected player's penalty.
7. A
player who receives a match penalty will be suspended from
the tournament.
8. Any
player fighting during a game will be ejected from the
game and be
automatically suspended until a ruling has been
made by the chairman
of the tournament.
9.
Semi-final and final games shall be played until a winner is
declared. all overtime periods
shall be two (2) minutes stop time sudden victory as follows:
1 - 1st overtime - 4 skaters + 1 goalie
2 - 2nd overtime
- 3 skaters + 1 goalie
3 - 3rd overtime
- 2 skaters + 1 goalie
4 - 4th overtime
- 1 skater + 1
goalie
Penalties
during overtime play - the non-penalized team will
add a player.
10. Tie breaking procedures for teams tied for
position after
round robin play are
as follows:
a) the team with the most wins
b) the record between the teams involved in games played
against each
other. The record is calculated by:
i) points ii)
goal differential
iii) goals for
divided by goals against
c) The record in
round robin play:
i) goals differential
ii) goals for
divided by goals against
d) The team with
the least penalty minutes.
e) The team that
scored the fastest goal at the beginning of
any round
robin game.
NOTE: TEAMS
SHOULD BE READY TO PLAY FIFTEEN (15) MINUTES BEFORE
SCHEDULED TIME.

INTERESTED TEAMS: The Sudbury Minor
Hockey Association is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications
for entry into the 21st Annual Sudbury 80's - Peewee - Bantam
- Midget Invitational Hockey Tournament, to be held October 12th,
13th, & 14th, 2007.
Those applications received by September 15th will receive priority
consideration. Please return
your completed application, including your entry fee to any one of the
addressees listed below prior to the deadline. We will
endeavour to host teams in the "AA" down classifications, with each
team receiving a guarantee of three (3) games. The registration fee for the tournament is
$850.00 per team. Should you no
longer be the contact person, would you kindly assist us and pass on this
application form as soon as possible so that the team(s) in your area can
apply. I look forward
